Every year the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association conducts a match play tournament, held over a 3 week period. The winner of each flight receives a trophy that she will keep for 1 year. The trophies are a little worse for the wear, considering some of them date back to the 1950's. The history of match play is part of what makes it such a special event.
